If you want to study in Singapore, you must have the Student’s Pass, unless if you have Dependent Pass or Immigration Exemption Order. For international students who don’t have family or relative in Singapore, school or university will normally be the guarantor during his/her study.
The Private Education Institution which enrolls international students needs to be EduTrust certified as one of the prerequisites to qualify for the issue of Student Passes, as stipulated by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA).

Resorts aren’t just for holidays! A world of possibilities is opened up for students studying travel related courses, and the expression “Life’s a beach” is certainly true for some of the students studying the Diploma of Resort Management at William Angliss Institute, the specialist training centre for culinary arts, tourism and hospitality.

Sarah Clarke and her classmate Lauren both studied the Diploma of Resort Management (Spa) and are now working at Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Resort.

When asked about her training, Sarah says, “I can't think of anything that the course has missed or that I feel like I wish I knew or had been trained on! Even dealing with difficult guests and different cultures (so important) was covered.”

The Diploma of Resort Management is unique. The Diploma of Resort Management (Spa) students study specialist Spa therapy units and also undertake a structured work placement component. They learn skills to successfully manage a Spa and Wellness facility, as well as how to help guests relax and indulge their senses. Specialised training in spa rituals and treatments also includes massage and health, aromatherapy, facials, body wraps, manicures and pedicures.

A great benefit of the Resort Management course is its all-inclusive nature. Students are provided with textbooks, uniforms and workbooks. In their first year all students attend an Interstate Study Tour where students apply the skills they are learning and view best practice industry operators at work. In their second year an overseas industry tour is available so that students can observe international best practice operators in the field and attend targeted industry events.
